"The R.O.C." by Jay-Z hits on the loudspeaker and the crowd begins to boo. They all get on their feet and turn to the main stage as the lights go down and the stage lights go purple and shine on each side of the entrance way.
Matt Baily: The last time we saw this man in action, he took Robert Garland to the absolute limit for nearly fifteen minutes nonstop. In that match, he proved all of the doubters and silenced all of his detractors. He officially ruled the winner of that match. Some would say that Robert Garland probably deserved that victory, but the referee's decision is the bottom line. He is the undisputed World Television Champion of the PWA.
Roc Anderson comes from behind the curtain just as the chorus begins, wearing his World Television Championship around his waist. His valet Christina Hernandez, his student Casper Valentine, and his bodyguard Malicious follow at his side, as he walks down the runway, pointing and yelling at fans who flip him the finger and yell profanities.
Matt Baily: An interesting note, Rep... just a sort while after winning that belt, Roc Anderson was quoted as saying that he is the new and improved Reprobate. In many ways, the comparisons are justifiable. In your heyday, you two were very similar. You were both hated Champions who held the belt over everyone's head. You were both managed by Christina. You both paid Malicious, and later The Superbeast, to either do your dirty work or protect you from challengers. In addition, just recently, at the invite of Anderson himself, Casper Valentine joined his group. Casper Valentine is a man who lives the dark lifestyle. He identifies with death and gore... very similarly to your former protege Damian DeNiro. You two held the GWF World Tag Team Championship together, and were the final defending Champions. With so many similarities, do you believe that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery?
Rep: Well, you certainly bring up some fair points. All I can say is that while Roc Anderson has been a pain in the neck on the business end, he has been a tremendous asset to PWA in terms of selling tickets and making that title valuable. People pay to see Roc Anderson face a challenge, because they hope that somehow, some way, he can be defeated in their home town, right in front of their eyes. Unfortunately for them, Roc Anderson is a resilient Champion. You may not agree with his tactics and you may not respect his morals, but what you've got to give it up for, is the fact that he IS a defending Champion. If he wants to call himself "The New Rep" or the successor, or whatever it may be... I'm fine with it, as long as he backs it up in the ring.
Anderson is now in the ring, gets on the top rope and raises his arms as the crowd showers him in boos. Christina points to him as he is on the top rope, yelling at the fans to show him some respect. They refuse to oblige, and continue heckling the World Television Champion. As he hops off of the top rope, "Live to Win" by Paul Stanley hits on the loudspeaker. The camera goes to the main stage where Michael Smart enters from behind the black curtain. His cousin and manager, Daniel Smart, follows him.
Matt Baily: In booking this match, you had to have known that sparks would fly. In just ONE match, you have a team of immoral street fighters, who each have at least two henchmen who will strike at any moment. You have two Champions, leading their teams. and facing off for the first time. You have the number one contenders of each division facing off, for the second time each. If this doesn't become a memorable night in wrestling history, I don't know what will.
Rep: What I would like to make clear, is that I did book this match because the temptation of so much drama concluding was evident. Beyond that, I booked this match because I know that Roc Anderson and Michael Smart will do anything to one up their challengers. At the same time, Chris Williams an Robert Garland have both shown that they can survive all of the tricks that those men have up their sleeves. This match is going to be memorable. This match is going to make history. This match is going to define PWA for a long time to come.
The Smart Family are now in the ring, joining the already large posse. The wide array of the vast and colorful characters clash, creating a surreal, though intimidating scene. Michael Smart reaches out to Roc Anderson for a handshake. Anderson looks to Malicious and then accepts the shake, albeit with a smug look on his face, doubting even that the number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship could take him physically.
"Headstrong" by Trapt hits on the loudspeaker and the camera once again cuts back to the main stage. After a few moments, from the back comes Chris Williams, with the PWA World Heavyweight Championship around his waist. As he walks down the runway, fans reach out to high five him.
Matt Baily: There he is, the man of the hour. The man who determines the destiny of the PWA. With that Heavyweight Championship of the World straddled around his waist, he is the deciding factor in whether or not the PWA succeeds. Take note, that even being the only man on his team to have a valet, manager or otherwise, he REFUSED to allow his girlfriend Elisabeth to come out by his side. Citing fear of her being physically involved, he chooses to come out and rely on his own skills rather than numbers.
Chris Williams stops ascending the runway right at the ring. Rather than entering, he stands right in front as all five of the various sharp shooters stare at their target. Williams raises his arms slowly, begins to crack his knuckles and stretch his arms as "Fire It Up" by Thousand Foot Krutch hits on the loudspeaker. Williams looks around the arena, smiling, as the crowd bursts out in cheer. The camera goes around the arena as the fans get to their feet, before stopping at a certain area and setting in, zooming towards a wall.
Robert Garland stands up above various fans, on a chair, as they raise their arms alongside him. He gets off of the chair and begins walking through the fans. They grab on to his shirt and pat him on the back as he mazes through the rabid viewers. He finally reaches the guardrail next to the runway, steps up on to it, and then hops up on to the runway. Garland and Williams high five, and then with both men together, enter the ring.
In their own corner, they stare over towards the huge posse of Champions, challengers, goons, henchmen and otherwise. Brendan Reynolds enters the ring as the referee backs up.
Brendan Reynolds: Wrestling fans, the following tag team match, scheduled for one fall to a finish, with a 60 minute time limit, will be contested under CHICAGO STREET FIGHT RULES!
At the mention of the stipulation, the crowd raise their arms and cheer, some chanting "CHI-CA-GO!" The camera cuts to Michael Smart, who nods his head.
Brendan Reynolds: First, from the corner to my left. Being accompanied to the ring by the "DOLLAR DEALER" Daniel Smart. (Daniel does his signature introduction pose of making the "money" gesture with his fingers.)
Hailing from Chicago, Illinois! He weighs 228 pounds, and is the number one contender to the PWA World Heavyweight Championship... MICHAEL SMART!Some in the crowd cheer Smart, being the hometown wrestler. The camera cuts to ringside, showing an older man.
Matt Baily: With us at ringside is the man who raised Michael Smart and his cousin Daniel. The man who trained them and broke them in to professional wrestling. His very own uncle!
The camera cuts back to the ring as some fans chant "DIS-OWN HIM!'
Brendan Reynolds: His partner. Being accompanied to the ring by the "FREAKIN' PUERTO RICAN" Christina Hernandez... the "GURU OF HORROR" Casper Valentine... and his bodyguard Malicious. Hailing from Miami, Florida... he weighs 190 pounds, and is the PWA World Television Champion... ROC ANDERSON!
Anderson snaps his belt off his waist, raising it in the air and looking around at the crowd that boos him. Roc then gets on the top rope with the title, shoving it in the fan's faces.
Matt Baily: World Television Champion Roc Anderson looking very confident about this contest. Whether that's a good thing or not remains to be seen, but it certainly is contagious, as Michael Smart doesn't look too worried either.
Brendan Reynolds: Their opponents... first, from the corner to my right. Hailing from Harvey, Louisiana... we weighs 198 pounds, and is the number one contender to the PWA World Television Championship... "THE BADGER" ... ROBERT GARLAND!
Garland raises his arms in the air as the crowd cheer him on and chant "BADGER!" Garland takes his shirt off and tosses it in the the crowd. A lucky woman catches it and then sniffs it.
Brendan Reynolds: And finally... his tag team partner. Hailing from Detroit, Michigan... he weighs 230 pounds, and is the PWA Heavyweight Champion of the World... CHRIS WILLIAMS!
The crowd cheers Williams on as Garland grabs a microphone from ringside. He returns to his corner and pats Chris on the shoulder.
Robert Garland: Chris...everything is going to be alright. I've thought about this match long and hard. We all have. You and I have spoken about this match, anticipating a big beatdown on our parts... and I'm sure that THEY have been anticipating the same. All I can say, is that tonight... I've got a plan.
Garland raises a finger in the air as the crowd cheers and the various members on the evil side of the ring begin looking around the arena in confusion and worriment.
Matt Baily: What could he possibly be planning that would create a level of balance on this SIX on two contest?
Robert Garland: TONIGHT, CHRIS. I have a plan. A certain "old friend" caught wind of what was going on here in PWA... and he got down here to this arena as fast as he could... and I would just like to say that Robert Garland... PROUDLY PRESENTS...
Over the loudspeaker, the opening slow riffs of "Back in the Saddle" by Aerosmith play. The lights dim and the crowd turns to the entrance way as the shakers and guitar intro intensifies...
I'M BACK!
From the back, Bobo the Hobo shoves the curtains to his sides as the crowd jump to their feet in amazement, shock and happiness. They begin chanting "WELCOME BACK" as Michael Smart and Roc Anderson begin panicking. Christina attempts to calm Roc down as Daniel tries to contain his cousin Michael.
Matt Baily: What in the hell are we witnessing?! I've seen many things in my short wrestling career. I've seen returns and retirements, injuries and comebacks... but I don't think I've ever seen someone rise from the dead!
Bobo finally reaches just outside the ring, but Roc Anderson will not allow him to get involved so quickly. Anderson hits a running dropkick to Garland as the music continues playing. Williams hops on Roc as Smart runs over and stomps on Garland.
Williams headlocks Anderson in the corner as Smart whips Garland in to the other corner. Smart goes for a clothesline in the corner, but Garland hops up over Smart. Garland grabs Smart by the head and hits a tornado DDT! Anderson out-wrestles Williams, breaking free of the headlock.
Garland goes for the pin on Smart, but Anderson breaks it up at the two count. Anderson grabs Garland by the head and scoop slams him to the mat. Smart gets back to his feet as Williams runs off the ropes. Anderson ducks and Williams hits a clothesline on Smart. The crowd cheer as Williams makes the first offensive move on to his upcoming World Heavyweight Championship challenger.
Anderson hops up to his feet and hits a dropkick to Williams' head. Anderson runs and hops on to the second rope as Garland gets to his feet. Anderson launches off with a crossbody to the Badger. Anderson gets to his feet as Williams does the same. Anderson hits a forearm to Williams and shoots him off the ropes. As Williams comes back, Anderson grabs him and hits an Anderson Spinebuster!
Anderson turns to the hard camera, the only man standing.
Matt Baily: Now THIS is why Roc Anderson is the PWA World Television Champion of the world!
Suddenly, Williams turns and gets right back up to his feet, holding his midsection! He stares eye to eye with Anderson as the crowd cheers Williams nearly no-selling the big spinebuster.
Matt Baily: ...And THAT is why Chris Williams is the PWA World Heavyweight Champion!
Anderson and Williams stare down and begin trash talking, until Garland hits Anderson from behind, and Smart does the same to Williams! Then, Garland and Smart seem to catch each other's eyes and then walk up to each other with a stare down of their own!
Suddenly, Daniel Smart whacks Garland in the back with the steel chair... but Garland didn't feel a thing!
Garland turns to Daniel, but ducks a clothesline from Michael. Michael hits Daniel with the clothesline by accident, and the crowd goes wild! Garland grabs the chair and swings it at Michael Smart's head! Smart goes down as the chair whacks him on the skull. Garland then throws the chair at the head of Anderson, who falls back down to the mat. Garland poses for the crowd as they chant "BADGER!"
Matt Baily: The number one contender to the World Television Championship is the strongest link!
Daniel Smart is back up, and he swings the chair at Garland again! Once again, Garland doesn't feel a thing, and turns around to face Daniel.
Matt Baily: ...And Daniel Smart has proven, once again, that he is the weakest link!
Garland grabs Daniel and hits the Cradle DDT!
Matt Baily: GOODBYE!
Daniel rolls out of the ring as Michael strikes from behind. Garland drops to the mat and Smart goes to lock on the Smartshooter! Williams strikes Smart with a spear! Smart goes down hard and Anderson jumps off the ropes, coming back with a springboard dropkick to Williams!
Anderson gets to his feet and grabs Garland. He picks him up and goes for the Starfucker Brainbuster! He drops Garland nearly on to his head and goes for the cover...
ONE! TWO!! NO!
Garland kicks out of the deadly move! Anderson shoots Garland off the ropes, and as he comes back, Anderson hits another deadly Anderson spinebuster on the Badger! Garland rolls out of the ring as Williams slowly comes back to his feet. Williams strikes Anderson with a lariat, but Anderson hops right back up on to his feet.
Matt Baily: The reliant Roc Anderson back up!
Williams comes back again, grabbing the running Anderson and planting him hard with a powerslam. Anderson hops up once more and Williams runs off the ropes, going for a diving elbow smash! Anderson ducks! Williams accidentally hits the referee right in the jaw! Williams turns away from the ref and knocks Anderson down with a punch.
Anderson rolls on to his back as Williams pulls him up to his feet again. Williams hoists Anderson up in to the air... TNT!!! Anderson rolls out of the ring after the move, landing on the ground on the outside. Smart comes back in! Smart swings a chair at Williams, but Chris ducks! Smart drops the chair on the mat, and Williams grabs Smart... he hoists him up! BOILING POINT ON TO THE CHAIR!
Williams immediately covers Smart, falling on top of him. BUT THE REFEREE IS DOWN!!! Bobo the Hobo slides in to the ring! He drops to his knees and begins counting as an interim referee!
ONE! TWO!! THREE!!!
But the bell doesn't ring! The crowd cheers on Williams, pinning Michael Smart for the second time! However, Mark Snider, the Interviewer of the PWA, enters the ring, wearing a black and red striped referee's shirt. Snider grabs a mic and begins yelling at the groggy Williams, who sits on his knees in the center of the ring.
Matt Baily: What is going on here!? The match should be over!
Mark Snider: CHRIS WILLIAMS. IF YOU THINK FOR ONE SECOND, THAT I'M GOING TO ALLOW THAT PINFALL TO GO DOWN IN THE RECORD BOOKS... YOU ARE SORELY MISTAKEN! AS YOU CAN SEE BY MY OFFICIAL CHICAGO, ILLINOIS REFEREE BADGE... AND THIS ILLINOIS ATHLETIC COMMISSION HANDBOOK... I AM THE ONLY CERTIFIED REFEREE IN THIS RING RIGHT NOW!
The crowd begins angrily yelling at Snider, who holds the book up in the air. Williams shakes his head in frustration, gets to his feet, and then punches Mark Snider out!
Matt Baily: Thank... GOD!
Snider goes down, as we cut to ringside where Rep is now entering the ring! Williams drops back on to Smart for the pinfall! Rep begins his count!
ONE! TWO!! THREE!!!
NO!!!Michael Smart KICKS OUT!!!
Rep looks down to the mat and slides out of the ring as Williams grabs his hair in anger and frustration. The crowd begins booing as Smart rolls on to his frontside. Williams quickly jumps up to his feet and turns around to attack Smart... ANDERSON WHACKS WILLIAMS WITH A SINGAPORE CANE!!!
Williams slowly drops to the mat, flat on his back. Smart pushes himself up on to his feet and takes advantage by grabbing Williams and pulling him back up to his feet. He picks Williams up in to the air... PAIN EQUATION!!!
Smart lands on top of Williams and hooks the leg as the referee slowly wakes up... he rolls over to the pin and begins counting!
ONE! TWO!! THREE!!!
Brendan Reynolds: Your winners... ROC ANDERSON AND MICHAEL SMART!!!
Garland slides back in to the ring to break the pin, but he's too late. Garland stops short and lays on the mat. Bobo enters the ring to help Garland up. Suddenly, Daniel Smart slides in with a chair. He strikes the back of Bobo from behind, who goes down. Frank Washington then slides in to the ring, and Daniel hands him the chair. Washington then swings at Garland's head, who is on his knees. Garland falls back as Daniel turns to the crowd who are now throwing their garbage in to the ring. Christina enters the ring and kicks Bobo in the stomach. Washington grabs Bobo by the head and throws him out of the ring.
Matt Baily: What the hell is going on here!? The match is over! Somebody get out here! Get down there and stop this, Rep!
Michael Smart rolls back in to the ring with another chair. He whacks Garland in the head with the chair and then tosses him out of the ring as well. Frank Washington leaves the ring and beats on Garland as the rest of the rulebreakers then assemble and look around at the crowd, still throwing cups and other trash in to the ring. Chris Williams slowly crawls in the center of the ring in pain, and everyone in the ring turns to him. All that the same time, they attack with stomps and kicks of all kinds, as the crowd boos even louder.
Matt Baily: What the HELL?! This needs to be STOPPED!!
The Smarts toss Williams in to the corner as Casper Valentine and Malicious are seen beating Bobo, with Washington beating on Garland, up to the backstage area. Roc Anderson quickly enters the ring with something in his hands. He runs over to Williams and begins handcuffing him to the top rope with a set of police cuffs.
Matt Baily: Wha-
Michael picks up one of the loose chairs and looks around the arena as the crowd begin booing again. Smart goes to swing... but suddenly, Elisabeth Bledell, Chris' girlfriend, jumps in between Michael Smart's chair and the handcuffed Chris Williams! Smart holds back his swing, as Elisabeth is on her knees in front of Smart, begging him to have mercy on the helpless Chris Williams. The crowd yells at her to get the hell out of there.
Williams suddenly finds the strength to awaken, and he begins reaching for Elisabeth. Smart looks around the arena as Roc Anderson picks up a second chair. Michael turns his head away from her... and drops his chair. Roc looks at Michael with a pissed off demeanor, as Michael turns back to Elisabeth. He grabs her, and then tosses her off the ropes! Williams begins yelling loudly and reaching for Elisabeth, but he can't break free from the handcuffs! As she comes back, Michael grabs her and picks her up in mid-air...
PAIN EQUATION!!!
Matt Baily: YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!
The crowd lets out a collectively audible gasp when Elisabeth hits the mat. Some fans at ringside begin pulling on the guardrail to get past. Chris, still up, drops to his knees and begins yelling at the top of his lungs, reaching for his unconscious girlfriend. The entire crowd is now solemnly against Michael Smart and his team, as they not only boo, but some fans at ringside are now launching chairs in to the ring.
Matt Baily: WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN THIS COMPANY!?
Smart grabs one of the chairs as Roc swings his chair extremely hard at Chris, knocking him back out like a light. Michael Smart then takes the chair and straddles it around the arm of Chris Williams. Smart quickly gets up to the top rope, and jumps off. He hits a knee drop on to the chair, effectively snapping it against the arm of Chris Williams!
Matt Baily: YOU RAT BASTARD! YOU HUMAN PIECE OF SLIME! YOU STREET TRASH SON OF A BITCH!
Rep now appears at ringside, yelling at Smart and Anderson to clear out of the ring. He points to the back and yells at them to get out of the ring and get to the back, before somebody else gets hurt!
Matt Baily: WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A WRESTLING MATCH HAS SIMPLY GONE TOO FAR! WHAT THE HELL IS MICHAEL SMART THINKING?
Michael Smart's own hometown begins booing him, some spit as he exits the ring and walks to the back. Daniel Smart attempts to shield Michael from the spit and the garbage by throwing his jacket over him. Roc Anderson grabs his belt and holds it in the air as he quickly escapes the thousands of fans throwing various objects at them.
Back in the ring, Rep has the ring attendants disassemble the ring ropes to free Chris Williams from the handcuff restraint. EMTs enter the ring to work on his arm and head.
Matt Baily: HOW MUCH MORE OF THIS ARE WE GOING TO ALLOW? HOW MUCH MORE UNTIL WE FINALLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT? ARE WE WAITING UNTIL THE LINE IS CROSSED? WELL GUESS WHAT? THE LINE WAS CROSSED TONIGHT.
The sound of a microphone booming is heard as the camera cuts to the announcer's booth, where Matt Baily drops his headset and walks off in anger.
We go back to the ring where Williams is being worked on. A breathing device has been attached to his face. We quickly fade to an advertisement for the Life Sentence PPV.
With no announcer, the details are listed on the screen. We then fade to an advertisement for PWA on TV, with the Premiere Wrestling Television and PWA on TNN listings. We then fade back to the ring. The EMTs have strapped Williams to a stretcher and are beginning to carry him to the back.
The camera pans the crowd, who clap for Williams. The camera follows the EMTs as they carry Williams past the curtain and out of sight.
Fade to black.
