The scene opens up with a shot of a door. On the door is a sign, holding the name of Michael Smart. The camera pans back to reveal Mark Snider, a microphone in his right hand, standing in front of the door. Snider stares at the camera, holding the microphone up to his face so his words can be heard.
Mark Snider: Hello, my name is Mark Snider and I'm standing here in front of Michael Smart's locker room. The Poughkeepsie show hasn't begun yet, but Michael and his cousin Daniel have decided to show up a little early. I'm going to try and get a few words with the two of them.
Snider knocks on the door three times. After a few seconds, a voice shouts from inside the room.
? ? ?: Come in.
Snider opens the door and steps inside. The camera follows him inside, showing the locker room. Sitting on a bench is Michael Smart, wearing a black collar shirt and blue jeans, holding a half-full cognac glass in his right hand. Sitting next to him is Daniel Smart, wearing a dark grey suit and a red tie, a smug smile on his face as the two stare at Snider.
Mark Snider: Michael, Daniel, I have a few questions to ask of the two of you... can I sit next to you?
Michael Smart: No.
Mark Snider: Oh. Anyway, I have a few questions to ask of you. Now, last week you participated in more than a few acts that some would call unmoral. You attacked Chris Williams from behind before his match and interfered in his match. Not only that, you also hired Mikey Bennett to assault him. How do you justify these acts?
Michael stares at Snider, the question seeming to confuse him.
Michael Smart: Justify these acts? What are you talking about? It's like you're saying that I've done something wrong. Look, as the saying goes, all is fair in love and war. I declared war on Chris Williams, hence anything I do to him is fair.
Michael takes a sip from his glass, looking satisfied with his own answer. Snider, however, doesn't seem as certain.
Mark Snider: Isn't that an overly simplified answer?
Michael Smart: Fine, you want me to explain myself? Look, I've already explained why I think Chris Williams is a poor leader. This makes all of us, worst of all me, look bad for being under his leadership. That is why I need to, by any means, get the title off Chris Williams and into my deserving hands. You say that people think what I did was unmoral? Anyone who's read his Machiavelli knows that the only moral to care about is reaching your goal, regardless of what others think of you. My goal is to become the World Heavyweight Champion, and I'll do whatever it takes to achieve this status.
Daniel Smart: I also have some goals in mind when it comes to her girlfriend if you know what I'm saying!
Mark Snider: Uh... anyway, Chris Williams will be going one on one against Mikey Bennett, your hired gun, this week. How do you think Bennett will fare against the champ?
Michael Smart: Bennett is a monster, plain and simple. If you offer him some money, he'll destroy anyone you want, no questions asked. How do I think he'll do against Chris? Why, he'll absolutely destroy him, and once he does, the whole world will see Chris Williams for what he really is: a broken man unfit to be the World Heavyweight Champion.
Michael takes another sip from his glass, Daniel nodding at his statement.
Mark Snider: Alright, I have one more question to ask. It's about the match you'll have this week.
Michael looks questioningly at his cousin.
Michael Smart: I have a match? Why didn't you tell me?
Daniel Smart: Sorry, I've been busy, must've missed it.
Michael turns back to Snider.
Michael Smart: Who will I be facing?
Mark Snider: You'll be going one on one against one of the newest members of PWA...
Michael Smart: Oh, just some rookie. He won't last five minutes in the ring with me.
Mark Snider: Actually, he is not a rookie. In fact, he's someone you know. More accurately he is your former leader, Alan Christopher.
Michael and Daniel go silent from hearing the name of Michael's opponent. Michael stands up, still staying quiet, staring at Snider... before he throws his cognac glass at the wall! Daniel and Snider both step back from Michael, startled at his reaction. Michael, meanwhile, is furious.
Michael Smart: Alan Christopher? I'm facing Alan Christopher?!? You come into my locker room and tell me I'm facing Alan Christopher?!? That name is the worst of curse words around me and you dare spit it right in my face?!?
Mark Snider: Uh... sorry, but you really are facing him.
Michael Smart: Alan Christopher... you know, whenever I think back at the old days, I can't help but throw up when I hear his name. This glorious leader of mine used me and I was too stupid to notice for a long while. Alan Christopher... I wasted months working for that prick, and all I ever did was help him, do what he wanted, do what was best for him. I feel sick just talking about it, and now he actually has the nerve to come into this company and step into the ring against me? I'm going to kill that fucker.
Michael storms out of the room, Daniel following after a few seconds. Snider is left staring after the two of them, glancing at the glass shards on the floor of the room before walking out of the room himself as the scene fades.
