Name: Rayn
Nickname: 'The Acidic One'
Born: October 31, 1980 in Chicago, Ill
Year Turned Pro: 2000
Billed height: 6' 3"
Billed weight: 232 lbs
Character Description:
Poser: Edge
Alignment: Face (natural tweener)
Catchphrase: n/a
Entrance music:
Moveset Information:
Wrestling style:Technical Specialist/Brawler
Strengths: Through his years in the business, Rayn has been from one end of the spectrum, places where being thrown over the top rope is a disqualification, all the way to where steel chairs and lawn mowers are all legal. This has cause Rayn to develope what he claims is a sixth sense to almost know what a person is going to do in the ring before they do. He is an expert in timing and positioning, knowing exactly where he has to be to get the drop on his opponents. He doesn't tap out, and can weild a kendo stick/singapore cane like it was a sword with no weight. He has a high pain threshold, and has a "hulk up" effect if he's bloodied.
Weaknesses: He doesn't tap, even if that means a minor or major injury. Has a bit of an anger management issue, if he feels insulted or get's too angry he'll lose focus and just fight with reckless abandon until hit hard enough to be put down for a few seconds and catch his breath. To the injury thing as well, when it comes to the business, he will sacrifice his well being to fight opponents.
Specialties: Expert wielder of Kendo sticks and chairs. Ladder & Cage match specialist
Moveset:
Basic Moves:
1. Northern Lights Driver
2. Suplex (All types, preffers T-Bone/overhead belly-to-belly)
3. Chops (Knife Edge only)
4. Enziguri
5. Clothes line(s)
Signature moves:
1. The Impact (superkick ala Shawn Michaels)
2. The Rayn Drop (Evenflo DDT)
3. Monochrome Memories (B.M.E.)
4. Ouch (Cattle Mutilation, finishes for Submission matches or when someone kicks out of the Epiphany)
Finishing move:
1. "Epiphany 1.0" (Diamond Cutter)
2. "Epiphany 2.0" (Killswitch, Unprettier, which ever name you preffer, but that move.)
Background Info:
Titles Held: 6 World (1x TAMW, 2x SFT, 3x RWA(2x world, 1x Universal))
4x Intercontinental(1x ERWF, 2x DRWF(FTW championship), 1x SFT)
3x United States (2x TAMW All American, 1x DRWF Cutting Edge)
1x Television champ (SFT)
2x Hardcore (1x TAMW, 1x SFT)
1x Tag Team (SFT, w/Reno Destiny)
Accomplishments: Retired/killed half brother Aaron Simon Kalis in DRWF. Wrestler of the month in multiple feds, Multiple Best Match of the Month, etc. etc.
Notable Feuds:Zero (six year feud spanning multiple feds and interfeds.) Pete Ebdon( DRWF, lasted 'bout two or three months), Kalis (DRWF also, lasted four months.) Sara Pettis (RWA/CWF, was more of a friendly rivalry, lasted three months) there's more but some of them I can't think of right now lol.
Notable Injuries: Torn ACL in right leg, burn scars on both arms, not bad but noticeable, scars on arms and back from barb wire, tacks and glass.
Biography: Before becoming a wrestler he was involved in a military experiment. He escaped the government, shortly after however he lost his memory in an accident. He wrestled for a few years, trying to fit in and remember who he was, until having his memory jogged at the end of a death match with his half brother, Kalis. He is tormented by the past and present, feeling little control over his life tends to make him high strung and very untrusting of anyone except a select few.
Other Notes For Portraying the Character: Although it won't happen too often, he primarily likes to use the 'Epiphany 2.0' as his main finisher, and the 'Epiphany 1.0' as a back up in case anyone tries to get out of the 2.0. Usually if someone were to weasel out of the hold and stand up, he'll just grab them and diamond cutter out of no where.
He'll usually not pay too much attention to the fans in general. As a face he's going to be shooting for as big a pop as he possibly can however.
Has an IMMENSLY strong following in Chicago, whenever there if he's a face, expect the roof to get blown off by the noise. If he's heel, he get's mixed reactions, usually split down the middle of people booing and others still cheering.
Is most hated in Florida for some reason. (as a face, he'll still get the 50/50 reaction, as heel people will randomly try to jump the guard rail to get them some.)
If he's in a match with an opponent he respects, he usually won't take things hardcore, and keep his cool regardless of what happens.
If he's in a match with someone that blatantly disrespects him, he won't stop beating on them after he wins the match, SHOULD he win that is.
