The scene opens up with a shot of a dark room. The walls of the room can barely be seen, appearing to be a light blue color. In the middle of the room, illuminated only by moonlight, is a single, black armchair. Sitting on the armchair is Michael Smart, wearing a dark black hoodie, the hood currently down to allow Michael's head to be fully seen. Standing next to the chair is Daniel Smart, wearing a dark grey suit with a brown tie. Daniel stares at the camera, a serious, business-like expression on his face. Michael's expression is also serious, but with a slight hint of annoyment. Michael rests his arms over the arms of the chair as he proceeds to talk towards the camera.
Michael Smart: Over the past few days I've been accused of many things. Greed, jealousy, betrayal... No matter what, everyone seems to have lost respect for me one way or another. And why? Because of what I did at Chapter 2. Because of what I did during my match with Chris Williams to determine the first World Heavyweight Champion. People have been calling me a cheater and a traitor because Daniel cracked a chair over Chris' head.
A smug smirk forms on Daniel's face, proud of his actions.
Michael Smart: Chris Williams and I... we talked about concepts like respect and honor. We talked about following the rules. But thanks to Daniel, I've realized something. These concepts are meaningless. Some may be quick to get on the defensive once talking about honor and respect, but that's only because they're looking at things from the wrong perspective.
Michael crosses his fingers to form a bridge with his hands, laying his chin on his hands.
Michael Smart: After all, what is respect? It is the foolish notion that you should treat your opponent like a friend. Respect is giving your enemy special privileges even though they're going against you. Respect is limiting yourself in your actions to protect the one you're supposed to defeat. Why? There is no proper reason. People like Chris Williams treat respect itself as valuable, showing it to their opponents in the hopes that their opponents will show the same to them. This makes Chris Williams a fool, thinking that his opponents will handle him with kid gloves just because he is willing to do the same.
Daniel slowly nods, agreeing with his cousin.
Michael Smart: What is honor? Honor is caring about what other people think of you. Honor is succumbing to the judgement of the masses, leading one to do foolish acts just because others expect you to do so. Honor is going into a situation harmful to oneself against your common sense because people demand so. What is the reason for such self-destructive behavior? Once again, there is none. People like Chris Williams treat honor as admirable, preferring to put the opinions of others over the wants and needs of yourself. This makes Chris Williams weak, needing the acceptance of others for his actions.
Daniel's nodding gets faster.
Michael Smart: What are rules? Rules are restrictions on your actions, assigned by the weak to protect themselves from the strong. Rules are designed to limit great people from utilizing their talents to the full, allowing the weak to seem strong. Instead of allowing two people to see who the greater wrestler truly is, they only show who can become the greatest within the limits assigned by the weak. Why? This time, there is a perfectly good reason. Chris Williams is weak. He only wants to go against the strong on his own terms, afraid to face them in a real fight. This makes Chris Williams a coward, hiding behind his rules to seem strong even though he is not.
Daniel's nods are even quicker this time, fully agreeing with Michael.
Michael Smart: Chris Williams follows these three things, which makes his weak, a fool and a coward. This may make him popular with the fans, but that is not enough. Chris Williams is the World Heavyweight Champion of Premiere Wrestling Alliance. That means he is supposed to be at the top of the company, being a leader to all of us. Why, then, should we allow a weak, foolish coward to lead us? Chris Williams may be loved, but as Machiavelli said, it is better to be feared than loved. That is why I cannot accept Chris Williams as my leader.
Michael leans back in his chair, letting his arms rest on the arms of the chair once again.
Michael Smart: Chris, I cannot allow you to remain as the champion any longer. Every second you hold that belt around your waist is a second that makes me and all of PWA look weak, foolish and cowardice. That is why I am, as of this very moment, declaring war on you. From this moment forward I am going to, by whatever means necessary, get that title out of your undeserving hands and around my waist, where it truly belongs. Chris, cherish your time with the title, because once I get my hands on you, you will fall.
Michael gets up, walking off to the side, away from the view of the camera. Daniel follows him, the two exiting the room as the scene fades to black.
